"Nakamura Family" Week 19 - Sharks n' Stuff...

Well, the Nakamura's are on their way up. They are making 33,000 Simoleons per week in book writing royalties...along with their continuing success at painting. They've got several rooms of their home dedicated to displaying their paintings that they have decided to keep. Of course, Lia keeps getting calls from the Altos and other wanting a date. Periodically Tosh ends up having to deflect date requests too. So, basically, in order to keep the Nakamura's at their steady upwardly mobile climb into the status ranks of the wealthy, they have to complete one or two best-sellers a week and a few paintings to off-set the bills.

The nice thing about the Nakamura's being able to fish out of their back yard is the fact that they are able to find fish like minnows and salmon and rainbow trout. Of course they have to go to other locations in Sunset Valley in order to be able to find other fish that they can't get. The cool part is that they are able to live close to a location where they found a tragic clownfish and normal sharks. Actually Tosh caught two normal sharks and Liandra caught one and have sent them in for mounting...thereby angering all shark conservationists the world over. Any more hits to their reputation like that and they'll have a reputation just as bad as the Altos. Lia was the first in the Nakamura family to catch an Alley Catfish, thereby making her the champ so far as far as fishing. Considering she's an acclaimed author and her paintings often get higher sale values than Tosh, she's pretty much kicking his ass. The only thing that he can outdo her in is his athleticism and she's rapidly catching up.

The Nakamuras have also converted part of their home into an ad hoc art gallery to display their paintings that they've kept and are using to increase the value of their home. Of course, this being the home of their dreams, it is doubtful that they will EVER sell this home. Lia has a gallery outfitted at the top of the stairs leading to the second floor. Tosh has a gallery leading off the side of his home. Of course when the gallery fills up, he may have to sell a few of his paintings. Lia has her office in what is considered the family Library where she has a desk, a computer and a chair and a view to the outside...albeit out at the main road. Tosh is stuck in a dark corner of the room with the majority of the room being a gallery. Needless to say that the galleries may need to be adjusted a bit to give a little more room for the display of photos, perhaps putting in a few more free-standing walls. Who knows.

Sunday night was a late night out for dinner, which they could afford, since with nearly §500K they could very well afford to buy the occasional dinner out. So after coming home, they had the opportunity since it was still around 7:30 PM to watch some TV and cuddle on the sofa. All in all a great Sunday night out.

And what can I say? What says more obnoxiously wealthy than a large swimming pool? A LARGE INDOOR swimming pool? Yes, at half a million §, the Nakamuras definitely have wealth. This way, they don't have to go down and get all sorts of disgusting bugs and diseases from going down to La Petit Shark Pool Center or Lofty Cerulean Blue Pool or even worse, the 24 Hr Wellness Gym with lots of sweaty Sims leaving nasty germs all over the equipment and whatever the hell gross disgusting stuff is growing in the pool.

Considering they're in a lousy neighborhood with the Nouveau Riche Altos and the stodgy Landgraabs, the Nakamuras tend to stick to themselves. Fending off date requests from Nick Alto is a full time occupation for Liandra Nakamura and Vita Alto seems to have a thing for Tosh Nakamura which he quickly put an end to. He's seriously considering locking Vita Alto up in a doorless room and letting her starve, but he's never gotten to that breaking point of frustration. Needless to say, the rich life suits the Nakamuras and they have their own little oasis on top fo the hill.

Well, what can I say, it never gets tiring looking out the window of the rec room on the third floor looking out over the gorgeous ocean from the hills above the Sunset Valley.
